Messenger | Message Author

The author messenger uses data from the Pub.Tracker to generate customized messages that are specific for each step or branch of the publication process. The messenger generates messages to be previewed before sending.

Additionally, the messenger system is equipped with safety checks that prevent a message from being generated if that message conflicts with the workflow data for that article. For example, selecting an acceptance message for an article that was rejected in peer review will throw an error and prevent the message from being generated.

In addition to generating and sending emails, the author messenger can also save a message as a draft in your Gmail account. Saving a message as a draft allows the message to be further edited in Gmail before sending (e.g., stylize text elements, insert images, add attachments, or schedule delayed sending).
